Dear Postcard Warriors,
You are making a difference at the front lines. Sure, your postcard messages bring tears to Defenders. More importantly, they bring joy. Thank you for staying with Ukraine! Ukraine needs you. Ukraine is grateful for your support and care. Grateful because you are sending something real, something tangible, something that tells them that you, faraway from Ukraine, haven’t forgotten them; that you acknowledge their struggle.
Yesterday, we received this message from Tamara, at home base:
Today received a few voice messages, defenders crying about the postcards. They are very happy … And in the [text] messages the guy is saying that postcards took his soul and it seems like 1943 because it’s real post.

Each day through Ukrainian Heritage Month (September 2026), we’ll share some easy-to-do ideas that you can try on your postcards to Defenders. 30 days. 30 cards. Simple art. Our Ultimate Heritage Challenge to you, dear postcard warrior: one postcard per day during September. Try some of the postcard ideas we offer. Prizes will be drawn for three winners who have tried at least three of the ideas that we’ve shared through the month of September. We’ll know because your cards will ‘show’ us. Deadline: we must receive your Ukrainian Heritage Month challenge package of postcards in our mailbox by October 20.

Tell others about this project. Ask family and friends to write postcards. Involve your children and grandchildren. Defenders especially value postcards with drawings from children.
