We’re grateful to The Millbrook Times, our community newspaper, that has featured Ukrainian Heritage Month as well as our milestone 25,000th postcard in the September 2026 issue.
Many thanks to editor Karen Graham for keeping Ukraine and Ukrainian culture and heritage on the minds of Canadians!
We’re also grateful to Cody and Kelsie’s Veggy Patch (Millbrook) for allowing us to photograph in their sunflower patch for our social media campaign, “Sunflower Defenders”. After seeing some gorgeous images of Ukrainian Defenders in sunflower fields posted on Instagram by @meanwhile_in_ua on August 12th, we decide to invite others to post their own version of one of the three images on social media during Ukrainian Heritage Month. Like we did!

What are your plans for Ukrainian Heritage Month? Need ideas? We have lots outlined in our article, Ukrainian Heritage Month.

Tell others about Ukrainian Heritage Month. Ask family and friends to write postcards. Involve your children and grandchildren. Defenders especially value postcards with drawings from children.
