Ukraine: The Latest (YouTube)
As you read feature articles in our newsletter and on our website about our supporters from all over the world, you will have noticed that each postcard warrior found us in their own unique way: word-of-mouth, participation at a postcard-writing event, a digital search for something tangible that they can do to support Ukraine, a love of the art of letter-writing, Postcrossing (a global postcard community), etc.
Recently, we received three messages, almost back-to-back within minutes, from individuals wanting to know how they could participate in the project. When asked where they had learned about us, one explained, “YouTube”. Another mentioned The Telegraph. We welcomed the new postcard warriors, then carried on with our day.
Later that evening, a message came in from Eun, one of our dedicated postcard warriors who we wrote about last November (you might recall her incredible box of SpiderMan cards for Defenders, as well as her beautiful hand-painted cards). She shared her excitement that The Telegraph gave a shout-out to Postcards to the Front by reading her postcard message to them ((YouTube, July 02, 2026; 41:28)!

Thank you, Eun, and all you postcard warriors who spread the word in your own ways about this project to write postcard messages of support and care to Defenders of Ukraine! You’re a wonderful community to know!
Thank you, host Francis Dearnley, and the team at The Telegraph for your shout-out to Postcards to the Front. We are grateful to hear from your viewers who seek some means to do something personal, meaningful, and tangible to support Ukraine.

Please continue to tell others about this project. Ask family and friends to write cards. Involve your children and grandchildren. Defenders especially appreciate postcards with drawings from children.
