We’ve become social media trolls … for a good cause!
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been looking for creative ideas to share with you as part of our Ukrainian Heritage Month campaign. Most ideas are intended to inspire you to consider some creative visual ways to communicate to Defenders on your postcards. Other suggestions will be more specific to Ukrainian heritage: food, embroidery, literature, etc.
Today we start with a simple creative boost that we have used on one of our postcards to a Defenders.

NOTE: I am not an artist. I was booted out of Gr. 9 art because I had “no skill”. So, as much as I love art, the practice of art has been late coming to me. Mostly, I started to look for arts and crafts ideas because I wanted to learn some fun projects to do with grandchildren. That’s why I have looked for easy-to-do art to try during Ukrainian Heritage Month with the goal of creating 30 distinct postcards for Defenders on which I am trying some art. Simple art. You’ll notice a tendency toward a blue/yellow theme. Because … you know … the Ukrainian flag!
I hope that you will also try some of the ideas that I share each day through September 2026 – Ukrainian Heritage Month.
