Inspired by US veteran Marcus’ 200 cards campaign, of which she was the winner, Brigitte from Quebec, who we told you about in our February 2025 newsletter, has issued her own challenge. Each postcard warrior that writes 50 postcards to Defenders for our Christmas in Summer campaign will receive an envelope of assorted postcards, to do as they like (maybe write more cards to Defenders?). 

This contest runs all through July, August and September 2025. Winners will be announced mid-October.

Maybe you want to organize a group of family, friends or others to write postcards? Check our website for tips, How to Run a Postcard-Writing Workshop. Consider a group effort so we can send a lot of messages of love and support in time for Christmas. Yes! We start to plan Christmas in summer so cards arrive at the front lines in time to give extra-needed support over the lonely holidays. To date, we’ve already received nearly 300 joyful postcards with messages sure to give some warmth to Defenders during the holiday season. More is always better. 😊
