The project aims to convey solidarity and the importance of supporting Ukraine in its fight for freedom.

On March 26, we attended curator Olex Wlasenko’s talk on Ukrainian-American artist Jacques Hnizdovsky’s woodcut art at Whitby Station Gallery, alongside a concurrent exhibition in Kyiv. In Surrey, British Columbia, students from James Ardiel Elementary School created 263 heartfelt messages and crocheted flowers for Ukrainian Defenders. Teacher Iryna Z. initiated the project, emphasizing community involvement and support. The efforts were inspired by a desire to bring joy and recognize the bravery of soldiers defending Ukraine.
