March 26 – We attended the very interesting talk given by curator Olex Wlasenko about the woodcut print art of Ukrainian-American artist Jacques Hnizdovsky at Whitby Station Gallery. A parallel exhibition ran concurrently at Sens Bookstore in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Also, we were invited to set up a table for gallery visitors to write postcard messages of support to Ukraine’s front line Defenders. Thank you Whitby Station Gallery!

Bonus: a batch of cards was written by students from Ivan Franko Ukrainian Heritage School (Oshawa) for Ukrainian pilots in training. Many thanks to Steve Ostafichuk for arranging this unique opportunity.
