The Australia branch has done a marvelous job of outreach, right across the country!

Over 3,000 postcards have now been sent from Australia to front line Defenders of Ukraine.

Peter and his team have attended many venues where they provide postcards for people to write – on the spot. Markets, church groups, and cultural events, whether Ukrainian or Lithuanian. Great outreach work!

They have have also informed their Members of Parliament of their efforts, and have received a letter of support – and a postcard for Ukraine’s front line Defenders – from Australia Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. Awesome!

And, let’s not forget kids. As Peter – mastermind in Australia! – writes in their May newsletter, “many on the frontlines are men and women who have children that they haven’t heard from recently, because of the nature of this war. They love cards sent by children. All the kids have to do is whatever they are up to in their development. Drawings, some words and drawings, just some words and for older kids some supportive words … Just put the first name and age on it. They may be swapped amongst the Defenders depending on the age of their own kids.”

Such terrific ingenuity, creativity and hard work going on in Australia to support Ukraine’s front line Defenders! So good, that we are going to shamelessly borrow some ideas from the Australia branch.
