We were invited last month to tell the members of Shkilna Rada, the Ukrainian Canadian School Board – Toronto Branch, about Postcards to the Front. Since then, principals have started to organize students enrolled in their schools to write postcard messages of support to Ukraine’s Defenders.

The first batch of cards written by students at Yuri Lypa Ukrainian Heritage Academy, Toronto, is on the way to Ukraine. Dozens of heartfelt and colourful messages, in print and in drawings, written by children and youth. More schools have plans to write cards in the coming months.

We are told by Tamara at home base in Ukraine that messages from children provide a particularly special warmth to the hearts of Defenders. Thank you, Shkilna Rada! Дякую!
