Every year, on the 2nd Monday of October, Canadians celebrate a national holiday: Thanksgiving. A day of general thanksgiving for the harvest. A time to spend with family.

We enjoyed a hike in the countryside, a farm visit to see animals, play farm games, and we chose pumpkins to carve for Halloween.

We are thankful for our farmers and for our freedoms, for family, and for friends.
This weekend, we also think of Ukrainians fighting for their freedoms, facing many challenges and sorrows since the February 2022 invasion by Russia. So many separated from their families.
That is why we have made time, on this weekend of thanks giving, to write cards to Defenders. Sending thanks and support for their courage and strength over many months.
Want to write some cards, too? Check our Tips and Samples page, as well as some useful phrases, translated into Ukrainian page.
Here’s where to send your cards, and to request cards if you don’t have any. Free.
