We got mail FROM Ukraine!

What a surprise, to receive a package of treats from home base in Ukraine! Special treats that invoke childhood memories: halva, sunflower seeds, honey candies. And BORSCHT. Yes! Borscht! Who knew you could get borscht in a packet? Not us, at Postcards to the Front (Canada / Канада). Thank you! Дякую тобі!

So, … we’re gonna share. Here’s how. Every envelope of cards that arrives in our mailbox by August 12 will be entered into a draw. There will be two prizes. One for the sweet treat halva. The other for a packet of borscht. And wouldn’t it be cool if the winner cooked the borscht for August 24 – Ukraine’s Independence Day – and sent us pics to post here!? We think so!
